Parcours des Mondes 2017 - Focus Luba Hemba Cariatides

September 16, 2017

Bernard de Grunne presents his exhibition at Galerie Patrice Trigano in Paris for Parcours des Mondes 2017: an extraordinary Torres Strait mask; a mid-Sepik hook -- founding mother of clan, from the Sawos tribe; an exceptional Dan/Guere mask from Ivory Cost; two betel mortars from the lower Sepik, New Guinea and the other from the Trobriand islands; and the introduction to a special focus on remarkable examples of Luba caryatid stools, for which he wrote an essay published and printed for the occasion of PDM 2017.
